The City of Keene utilizes iWorq to process all permit applications, registrations and inspections.
To register and submit permit applications:
- Visit the Citizen Portal
- Complete the contractor registration process
- Access permit application forms and submit electronically
- Visit the Citizen Portal
- Search for the permit under the Check Status/Request Inspection section
- You must be a registered contractor with an Entity/Access Code to request inspections

- Building, remodeling, or making improvements? → A permit may be required.
- Starting a business in an existing building? → A Certificate of Occupancy (CO) may be required. Prepare for your CO inspections by reviewing this list.
- Changing the use of an existing space? → Contact permits@keenetx.com before beginning work.
- Already have a permit? → Inspections can be requested through the permitting portal.
- Planning a new development or commercial construction project? → Consider scheduling a pre-development meeting.
- Find out if your residential work is exempt from permitting → Work Exempt from Permitting (Residential).
