Planning to be away from home for an extended period? The Police Department offers vacation house checks to help provide an added layer of security while you are away.

When you submit a request, officers will periodically check your residence while on patrol and make sure there are no obvious signs of a problem or security concern. This service is provided free of charge and is intended to give residents greater peace of mind while they are out of town.

Note: Security house checks are provided while you are away for a minimum of four days and will run a maximum of 30 days. All house checks must be renewed after 30 days.  If you return early from vacation, please inform the Police Department dispatch at 817-641-7831.
